Open a terminal window.
Change to the root user. su
Issue the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=1
Issue the command sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=1
To re-enable IPv6, issue the following commands:
sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.all.disable_ipv6=0
sysctl -w net.ipv6.conf.default.disable_ipv6=0
